WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Independent Women’s Voice, a leading national women’s organization dedicated to advancing policies that enhance opportunity and well-being, released the following statement on the rescissions packages being voted on in the Senate.

Patrice Onwuka, Director of Independent Women’s Center for Economic Opportunity, said:

“The One Big, Beautiful Bill was step one in returning fiscal sanity to Washington. This rescission package is step two. By codifying spending cuts identified by the Department of Government Efficiency, conservatives finally have a chance to eliminate diabolical, egregious, and wasteful spending on leftist boondoggles and extreme social agendas. Our taxpayer dollars should not be used to export radical ideas to other countries or to prop up hard-left indoctrination through public broadcasting. These unspent funds should be clawed back and used for efforts that align with our national interests or support a more sound fiscal future. We urge members of the Senate to join the House in passing this rescission package quickly.”
